Satellite Eyes overview

Satellite Eyes is a simple Mac app that automatically changes your desktop wallpaper to the satellite view of where you are, right now.

The app sits quietly in the menubar at the top of your screen. Pull your laptop out somewhere new, and your desktop will automatically change to the view from overhead.

It features a number of different map styles, ranging from aerial photography to abstract watercolors. And if you have multiple monitors, it will take advantage of the full width, spanning images across them.

Oh, and the source code is available on Github.

Other things you should know!

The other Stamen maps have gone, as there isn't a free alternative for them (you could sign up for Stadia Maps and add a custom tile source with your own API key if you like)
Replaced Mapbox Satellite with Google Satellite tiles
Removed Amigocloud Streets as it frequently fails to load

It works great here on Yosemite but it would be nice if the current wallpaer would be restored after exiting the app.
